Legacy Dual Fuel Range Gas Conversion

 
  • Gas conversion on a Legacy Duel Fuel (DF) Range varies based on the unit's serial number.
  • Prior to serial (PTS) number 17000000, gas conversion for Legacy DF ranges is not possible.
    • Only high altitude kits for LP units are available for units PTS 17000000.
    • Use part number 805725.
  • The burner design was different and made field conversion impossible to make sure of proper unit operation.
  • LP units above 8,600' use a high altitude kit.
  • For natural gas units above 10,250', conversion is only possible on units starting with serial number 18180000.
  • It is unusual for natural gas units to require a high altitude conversion. LP is usually the only option at such an altitude.
  • The Btu output does not change after a conversion, except for the griddle, which is 2,000 Btu less when converted to LP gas.
  • Starting with serial number 17000000, convert back to the original gas type by ordering the appropriate conversion kit.
